The house – a retreat flooded with light
Two sheep on the green roof welcome our guests to our oceanfront holiday home.
This modern beach house offers more than just panoramic sunrise views of beautiful Port Mouton Bay, more than private access to the white sandy beach. While listening to the sound of the rolling sea, you may find peace. It is a perfect escape!
Main Floor
Floor-to-ceiling windows run the length of the main floor, letting light and sunshine in. and you. From the small living area and the dining room you overlook all of the Bay and can let yourself be captured by its beauty. In the morning, you may sit back and watch spectaculars sunrises.
Kitchen
Guests love our kitchen. It is very well equipped and has everything you might need to prepare any meal. Eating from the elegant Susan Conran tableware adds to the pleasure of every meal. The dining table is handmade from wood grown on the property, The dining area is more than just a place to dine: with an oven bench on one side and a leather bench on the other, the table is the perfect place to socialise, chat and spend quality time. – It’s comforting to know that this table is made from wood that was once a tree, grown and nurtured on this land.
From here, you can access the deck and its enclosed dining area. We also provide a gas BBQ.
Bedrooms
Nights are amazing in the huge master bedroom with two queen beds and 4 skylights for stargazing, and a window front overlooking the bay.
Downstairs there is a bedroom with two twin beds and an adjacent bathroom. There also is a cozy little den with one sleep
In 2021, a film crew visited us to present the house and its creation story to a wide Canadian television audience.
Living/TV-Room
The large TV room is also located on the lower floor. Our comfortable Rolf Benz corner sofa is perfect for chilling out, watching a film or just hanging out. We do not have cable TV, but you can use a Fire Stick or DVD player. We also have a large collection of older DVDs – a pleasure to watch old movies and share memories.
Reading Room
Right off the upstairs living room, there is a small room with a sofa and book shelves. It may be used to retreat, read, as a playroom, or just lying on the sofa, thinking nothing and looking at the ocean… That’s how vacations work!
Location
The vacation home is located in the charming coastal village of Port Mouton, around 10 km south of the historic city of Liverpool. Set on a spacious 2-hectare plot right by the sea, Beach Heaven offers breathtaking views of the sparkling waters of Port Mouton Bay. A leisurely stroll through the garden and over the dunes takes you directly to the tranquil and picturesque beach of Wobemkak.
A paradise for beach lovers
In the surroundings of Beach Heaven you will find other impressive beaches that are easily accessible: Carters Beach, Summerville Beach, Hunts Point Beach, South West Port Mouton Beach as well as the beaches at Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct and White Point Beach. The Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct in particular is a paradise for nature lovers – with picturesque hiking trails and fascinating wildlife.
Discover the historic city of Liverpool
Just a 15-minute drive away, the vibrant city of Liverpool is waiting to be discovered. Once known as the capital of the buccaneers of Nova Scotia, today it offers a delightful mix of history, culture and entertainment. Visit the museums, enjoy live music and sample the specialties in excellent restaurants. Here you can also browse boutiques, galleries and bookshops or discover the craft brewery.

The Nova Scotia south shore: a maritime paradise
Nova Scotia’s South Shore, is a region full of charm and history. It is located on the Atlantic coast and stretches from Lunenburg in the east to Barrington in the west. Places of interest
Old Town Lunenburg: This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a wonderful harbor district with colorful wooden houses from the 18th and 19th centuries. Here you can visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic, take a harbor tour or simply stroll through the narrow streets.

Peggy’s Cove
Peggy’s Cove: The small fishing village is famous for its lighthouse perched on a granite rock. Peggy’s Cove is a popular destination for photographers and hikers.
Bluenose II: This replica of the famous schooner Bluenose is a Nova Scotia landmark. You can board the Bluenose II and learn more about its history.
Shelburne: This historic town was once an important trading port. Today you can visit the Shelburne Museum, which tells the story of the town, or stroll through the Shelburne Art Gallery.
